Our team's shift towards renewable energy solutions has led to the development of JAVELIN, a groundbreaking anchoring system for floating offshore wind projects. The slender design, which penetrates deep rock formations, meets the demanding conditions of offshore environments.

2019
Initial Concept
and Design
Reflex Marine identified the need for a new anchoring solution that addressed the key challenges for floating offshore wind projects and conceived the JAVELIN design.
2020
Early Testing and Validation
Modelling, and lab-scale testing began, validating the concept and confirming JAVELIN’s theoretical ability to perform in diverse seabed conditions.
2021
Proof of Concept!
Scaled-up prototypes were developed, undergoing rigorous testing to refine the design and optimise its performance.
2022
Government Backing, Testing and Trials Begin
We initiated comprehensive laboratory tests and onshore trials at Yatton and in Cornwall, marking a pivotal step in our anchoring technology development.
2023
Successful 361-Tonne Scale Trial
A major milestone achieved, with a successful 361-tonne scale trial, demonstrating the robustness of our anchoring system.
2024
TRL 7 Achieved
After extensive testing, JAVELIN has reached TRL7, demonstrating its readiness for offshore trials in operational environments in summer 2025.
