We’re excited to share that Reflex Marine has been selected to join the 2025 cohort of ORE Catapult’s Launch Academy – the UK’s leading technology accelerator for offshore wind.

This recognition marks an important step in our journey to bring JAVELIN, our innovative anchoring solution, to commercial scale. With the offshore wind industry gearing up for exponential growth – and over 70,000 anchors projected to be needed globally by 2050 – the demand for cost-effective, robust anchoring systems is greater than ever. JAVELIN is engineered to meet this challenge head-on.

While adaptable across a wide technical spectrum, JAVELIN stands apart in the toughest environments – geologically complex seabeds and high-load, high-angle moorings where conventional anchors fall short. Its slender, deep-seated design taps into higher strength geological formations beneath the seabed, delivering the necessary holding power with minimal environmental disruption. Combined with its modular build and lighter installation footprint, JAVELIN offers 30 - 60% cost savings over traditional systems.

Selection for the Launch Academy affirms JAVELIN’s relevance as a solution to some of the sector’s toughest challenges and gives us access to valuable industry insight and support. This will help accelerate our progress towards offshore trials in 2026 – a key step in our progress.

With the UK poised to play a global leadership role in floating offshore wind, this moment couldn’t be more critical.
